Georgia Land Conservation Act
HB 98 as revised by 2008 H.B. 1176 - A BILL relating to community greenspace preservation, so as to provide a short title; to provide for state and local government activities with respect to land conservation; to state legislative intent; to define terms; to create the Georgia Land Conservation Council and provide for its membership, powers, duties, and operations; to create the Georgia Land Conservation Trust Fund and to create the Georgia Land Conservation Revolving Loan Fund and provide for appropriations and other additions to said funds, as well as grants and other disbursements from said funds; to provide for eligibility for and award and disbursement of grants to counties, cities, and the Department of Natural Resources; to provide for related matters; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
Land Conservation Tax Credit
HB 1107 as revised by 2008 H.B. 1274 - A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Article 2 of Chapter 7 of Title 48 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to the imposition, rate, and computation of income tax, so as to provide for income tax credits with respect to qualified donations of real property for conservation purposes; to provide for definitions; to provide for conditions, limitations, and exclusions; to provide for authority of the state revenue commissioner and the Department of Natural Resources with respect to the foregoing; to provide an effective date; to provide for applicability; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
