Athens-Clarke County Awarded $500,000 Loan for Land Conservation Project

The Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County was awarded a $500,000 Clean Water State Revolving Fund loan by the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority board of directors to purchase the Matthew’s Motors tract of land—19.78 acres of land along the Atlanta Highway and the Middle Oconee River—for conservation and public recreation.

Brookhaven Awarded $5.7 Million Loan for Land Conservation Project

Brookhaven, Ga., was awarded a $5,700,000 Clean Water State Revolving Fund loan by the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority executive committee to purchase the acquisition of 33 acres of forested land adjacent to the DeKalb-Peachtree Airport (PDK) that will preserve one of the largest remaining tracts of urban forest in Metro Atlanta.
